PeopleCert is looking for a Business Development Manager with extensive experience in developing a strong pipeline and delivering new business in their territory.
Through an in-depth understanding of PeopleCert business and go-to-market strategy, you establish relationships with decision makers of training organisations, language education related influencers, language schools, language universities, local communities and corporations in your territory.
The successful candidate will be responsible for LanguageCert portfolio.
LanguageCert is a UKVI accredited SELT provider.
As a Business Development Manager, your tasks will include the following:
- Maintain and achieve maximum B2B market penetration of LanguageCert products, implementing a target-driven sales strategy
- Promote market business, predominantly to employers, educational institutions, immigration advisers/solicitors and other clients in education-and related markets.
- Liaise with partners, including language schools, local community centers and networks, universities, to sell language tests and services
- Deal with customer enquiries and aim to meet their expectations
- Implement alternative and innovative ideas for achieving new business
- Coordinate various aspects of activity in tandem with the company’s operations base and with respect to the local market conditions and culture
- Plan and organise personal sales strategy by maximising the Return on Time Investment for the territory/segment
- Monitor own progress against daily/weekly/monthly targets and report accordingly to the Headquarters
- Facilitate and expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints, working closely with support teams
- Participate in trade shows and convention
What we look for:
- Bachelor’s or relevant degree required.
- 5-7 years’ experience in driving new business development, with proven track record in driving successful business development transactions
- Exposure in the English Language Education market, Examination / Certification sectors in previous role(s) as well as prior experience in international corporate environments
- Sound understanding of channel development, strategy selling principles, partnership strategy and consultative selling
- Superb relationship, communication, and negotiation skills in working with executives, external constituents, and other business functions at all levels of seniority in a versatile and mixed-cultural environment
- Excellent command of the English language (native or C1 level certification desired, C1 IESOL certificate would be a plus)
- Competence in MS Office, including Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics CRM or similar

Working on Home Office (HO) Secure English Language Tests (SELTs)
Any person who is engaged by PeopleCert to work on the SELT service must undergo a Background Check (the results of which must be acceptable to PeopleCert and the HO) prior to commencing their SELT duties. All SELT personnel will be required to complete a declaration (provided by PeopleCert) where the existence of any criminal record and/or bankruptcy must be declared.
