As a specialist manufacturer of locking systems, our company supplies a wide variety of locks for industrial applications. Our product range is extensive and includes simple mechanical locks, the latest electronic devices, and many bespoke solutions. Our systems can be found on a vast variety of applications, and it is highly likely that you have used them without actually knowing it.

The role will require Business to Business calling to begin, develop and maintain long-lasting client relationships that grow far into the future.

The role requires a tenacious and dedicated Salesperson, with an organised manner to engage new business head-first, having the time to effectively maintain and develop existing business.

Responsibilities of Business Development Manager position:

  • Mixture of new business development and account management.
  • Educate existing customers on strategic products and services.
  • Facilitate and manage live orders through the business.
  • Receive and manage product enquiries.
  • Conduct marketing, database and sales analysis.
  • Help arrange UK and overseas trade exhibitions.
  • Assist with new product launches and branding.
  • KPIs and measures will be focused on the generation of new business.

The role of the Business Development Manager, will involve:

  • 40% office based at our operation in Wednesbury and 60% customer facing covering the UK and Central London area.
  • Framework typically being 2 days planning and prospecting and 3 days customer facing, making between 3 and 5 customer visits per day. Run at Product Specific 1-5 month Sales Cycles. Not micromanaged and this schedule can be tailored, whilst meeting KPIs.
  • Managing client accounts ranging from £25,000-£100,000, dependent on size and scope.
