We manufacture performance chemicals, polyurethane systems and pest control solutions. RESPONSIBILITIES

In this Business Development Manager role, you will develop strong business relationships with existing and prospective UK commercial vehicle customers and increase market share of BASF refinish paint products.

  • You will be responsible for identifying, maintaining and developing opportunities for the promotion of BASF refinish products and services within the UK & Ireland commercial vehicle market.
  • You will develop relationships and identify opportunities for growth of sales with key customers within the commercial vehicle bodybuilder segment.
  • You will collaborate closely with colleagues in the commercial vehicle team to deliver the strategic growth and business plans by increasing sales opportunities.
  • You will be instrumental in raising the profile of the refinish brand portfolio with new and existing customers.
  • In addition, you will develop relationships with national fleet managers, accident management companies and lease companies, in order to realise sales targets and long-term partnership relations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • You hold a degree, preferably in business, or have a proven track record in a commercial role.
  • Ideally, you have experience within the automotive refinish industry and have spent time with bodyshop/commercial vehicle management teams to develop an understanding of their needs.
  • You are a team player, who sees the benefit of supporting others to succeed. You can equally work autonomously with a high level of self motivation.
  • You have a proactive nature and the ability to take initiative.
  • You are customer-focused, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and will be able to show good commercial awareness and entrepreneurial flair.
  • You hold a valid driving licence. Frequent travel is required.
  • (The location for this role is flexible within the UK).
