This is a very exciting role for an enthusiastic Business Development Manager in the dynamic and talented global Marketing & Business Development team of a major international law firm. This is an excellent opportunity to work and develop in an international environment within a team with a strong culture of teamwork and collaboration. You will be joining a global M&A team and be involved in the delivery of the whole spectrum of marketing and business development activities in UK, Europe and beyond. . The role holder will be required to deliver an agile and responsive bespoke service model based on mutual respect and appreciation of skillsets across the team. Responding to the specific challenges and opportunities for M&A/Corporate, you will need to leverage technology to analyse trends, anticipate and identify opportunities to develop existing clients and services, track key relationships and measure the success of initiatives. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing and executing a focused marketing and business development strategy that strengthens relationships with existing clients, targets new work and builds the global reputation of the firm. Creating and managing compelling credentials, proposals and pitches to respond to fast turn-around bids, strategic panels and other opportunities to win work will be a key area of focus. On the marketing side, you will produce and manage content, campaigns and events and relevant directory and award submissions to increase engagement with key clients and enhance the personal brands of leading practitioners and the firm’s global reputation. The successful applicant will have direct line management responsibility for a Senior BD Executive within the team, both in terms of mentorship and regular review and advice regarding live work projects. The ideal candidate will be a bright graduate or equivalent with strong marketing and BD credentials ideally gained whilst working in a global legal or professional services firm, to include demonstrable success in creating and delivering pitches from cradle to grave. A curious and driven team-player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the Business Development Manager will enjoy working flexibly in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and high expectations.
