Senior Corporate Partnerships Business Development Manager

Job title: Senior Corporate Partnerships Business Development Manager

Company: Tate

Job description: The perfect home for a creative, innovative, and forward-thinking Business Development Manager who is inspired by Tate’s vision and values.

Our Corporate Partnerships team specialises in researching, recruiting and managing a broad portfolio of Corporate Partners for all four Tates. As you would expect, creativity, innovation and forward thinking is an integral part of every aspect of Tate and we approach corporate fundraising in the same way. As a result, Tate has a long history of generating ground-breaking partnerships and delivering significant return on investment for its Corporate Partners.

This crucial role will sit within the team, driving the business development strategy to secure new, high level and long term corporate partnerships for Tate. Working closely with the Head of Corporate Partnerships, the Director of Development, and the Corporate Partnerships Business Development Officer to agree priority projects, you will lead the Business Development team in prospecting, approaching, proposing and securing new partnership opportunities in support of all of Tate’s operations, ranging from our programme and collection through to our research and learning programmes, digital activations and infrastructure.

We are seeking candidates with an impressive track record of securing a diverse range of high-value corporate partnerships through all stages of the process, from research and cultivation through to pitching, negotiation and contract. You will have first class relationship-building and influencing skills and will thrive on working with senior level individuals externally and internally. Your ability to think creatively and commercially and bring together departments across Tate will ensure you are able to devise and deliver the most cutting-edge and competitive opportunities for our partners.

A strategic and dynamic thinker, you will work closely with the Head of Corporate Partnerships and the Senior Corporate Partnerships Account Manager to forecast financial targets. You will have outstanding project management skills with a compelling and persuasive presentation style. You will play an important role in cultivating a collaborative team environment, line-managing, supporting and developing the Corporate Partnerships Business Development Officer.

Successful candidates will have access to a range of benefits, including 25 days annual leave entitlement, rising to 27 days pro rata after 3 years of service; an extra day off for your birthday each year; a cycle to work scheme; opportunities for blended and flexible working; free access to Tate exhibitions and other museums and galleries; Life Assurance; and a ‘Defined Contribution’ pension scheme with generous employer contributions. Successful candidates who are already members of the Civil Service Pension Scheme or have recently left the scheme may be eligible to remain as members of this scheme instead.
