Job description: Business Development Manager – International & UK

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially aware Business Development Manager with experience of managing international business to increase the distribution of the Natures Aid brand across the EU territories and to launch into new distribution channels within the UK. In addition to bringing onboard new distribution partners and responsibility for managing the companies key International distributors and working in partnership with them to continue their impressive growth journey.

Main Responsibilities:

International – New & Existing Business

  • Grow existing territories by building strong relationships with our distributors and putting in place strategic 12-month growth plans
  • Manage new and existing business through the STADA network
  • Identify new opportunities in both EU by conducting market visits and provide strategic growth plan to Head of Sales
  • Grow UK distribution channels for online, pharmacy and Health Food Stores
  • Ownership of sales budget and forecasting
  • Ensure Natures Aid deliver first class service to all distributors, retail chains and ensure orders are delivered on time & in full
  • Conduct market visits to existing distribution partners at least 1-2 visits per year to ensure yearly sales budget is achieved
  • Oversee product registration process in new & existing territories
  • Presentation of New Product Development programme to all existing distributors
  • Work closely with supply chain and regulatory team to ensure stock availability and lead times are managed efficiently

UK New Business

  • Grow UK distribution channels for online, pharmacy, beauty, grocery, and Health Food Stores
  • Look to expand Private label business with partners globally
  • Develop a UK New Business strategy with support from Head of Sales to ensure sales targets are achieved
  • Management of existing UK wholesalers
  • Work closely with supply chain and regulatory team to ensure stock availability and lead times are managed efficiently
  • Planning and preparing company presentations to present to new and existing customers

What We’re looking for:

  • Must have 3-5 Years of delivering International growth direct to retail chains or 3rd party distribution partners
  • Commercially aware
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced sales environment
  • Sales and customer management background with experience of managing international business via distributor model
  • Have a ‘can do’ attitude, being flexible and adaptable to the needs of the business
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience in P&L management, forecast and customer management
  • Preferred experience in management of commercial trade term agreements
  • Ability to manage stakeholder relationships and ensure International strategy is shared company wide
  • A proven strong negotiator with a results focused mentality
  • High awareness of what it takes to win in the retail and customer environment in the UK & Global markets
  • Proficient Excel, numeracy, and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
  • Proficient PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to travel around the UK when required and potentially international on occasion.
  • Experience within the health supplements/ vitamins industry – Desirable
