The Role

As a Business Development Manager, you will be at the forefront of our growth and success. You will be responsible for driving positive change, implementing strategic plans, and ensuring the highest quality of services in the Midlands region. Your strong negotiation skills will be essential in costing and negotiating support packages, while your keen eye for talent will enable you to recruit and manage a skilled team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Completing quality audits and raising SMART action plans with managers and team leaders to ensure handover is seamless following review.
  • Set up and take on registration with CQC of services supported living.
  • Seek and support referrals into our supported living spaces as well as support referrals for residential care homes.
  • Costing and negotiating all new packages of support and responsible for recruitment and staff management and skills matching staff to new projects.
  • Completing needs assessment, risk analysis and work jointly with previous providers, professionals and team managers to ensure effective person-centred support planning.
  • Set up new services ensuring effective systems are in place from the onset.
  • Developing relationships with key local authorities across the Midlands.

The Person

  • Proven experience in business development and sales.
  • Strong knowledge of budget management and financial acumen.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Solid understanding of compliance and governance requirements, including CQC regulations
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to recruit and match staff effectively.
