Job Title Director Business Development and Growth MENA
Purpose Overall Relevance for the Organization To create and steer the MENA strategic agenda by driving change and delivering results through actionable insights and crossfunctional business partnering Key responsibilities Strategic Planning On behalf of the cluster feed into and execute the MENA priorities to support the achievement of the strategic growth drivers for the region Lead the local adidas Own the Game Strategy execution supporting profitable and sustainable market share growth for adidas in Middle East and North Africa Drive the execution of commercial key growth drivers across our markets and top focus countries providing a consolidated brand category channel and country level assessment and framework Lead and drive evolution in processes and organizational adjustment to promote a harmonized approach to delivering against strategic priorities Leading the development and implementation of new strategic business concepts and market expansion plans and go to market strategies reflecting macroeconomics geopolitics as well as latest trends and innovation Ensure communication of a consistent narrative on the MENA Strategic plan through the organization by securing alignment and collaboration with multiple senior stakeholders Market Organizations Sales Channels Business Units and Brand Functions whilst regularly updating the General Manager and EM SLT Lead local cluster effort to gather relevant insights from consumer marketplace channels and geographies and inform the strategic plan Act as endtoend internal consultant who plays a role of challenger and sparring partner for the senior leadership team by providing the relevant local insights and data to support informed decision making Head Office Actively participate in the country cluster Senior Leadership Team to ensure EMEA EM strategic goals are prioritized in the work program Lead agenda planning and organization of relevant documentation to ensure the General Manager and other members of the Leadership Team are prepared for all key stakeholder interactions and cluster visits VIP decks Lead the ongoing improvement of management and broader processes through review and assessment making recommendations based on best practice Support the General Manager to drive engagement and understanding of the Leadership Team priorities and action plans using a variety of communication tools such as TAIT and Yammer Prepare facilitate and followup on local Senior Leadership meetings as well as VIP Market Visits Facilitate bestpractice or upskilling workshops to the local market where relevant and value adding Strategic Execution Lead drive and support significant and potentially MENAscoped initiatives and action plans Ensure all country cluster projects adhere to the EM project criteria Act as the responsible voice for these initiatives by creating visibility across the market Lead and support business case development for new initiatives through to approval by relevant stakeholders Provide ongoing communication and tracking of progress for priority projects to the Leadership Team and identified stakeholders highlighting successes and interventions required and assessing ultimate impact and learning Lead facilitate manage and support specific crossfunctional projects and change management as required based on EMEA EM and local priorities Market and Business Intelligence Lead the delivery of Market and Business Intelligence to deliver broad insights supporting high quality business decisions with focus on top Countries and defined Key Trade Zones Provide internal stakeholders with relevant information packages meeting their respective needs through an aligned communication plan and process Key Relationships Internal Country cluster Leadership Team EM Business Development Sales Marketing Finance and HR Country Cluster teams Internal Communications Legal and IT Key stakeholders identified for specific projects and initiatives External Market Intelligence providers e g Euromonitor Strategic partners e g Universities Customers and other agencies involved in specific projects Knowledge Skills and Abilities A proven track record of successfully delivering large scale crossfunctional projects ideally with Marketing Sales or Operations experience Strong strategic acting and high visionary thinking in addition to operational skills High degree of commercial and business acumen Proven leadership track record and managerial skills High personal impact and excellent communication skills Fluency in written and spoken English essential Additional languages are a benefit Mindset Curious questioning agile proactive and action solution orientated Requisite Education and Experience Minimum Qualifications Minimum 810 years of experience within relevant industries Experience in sporting goods or fashion is a benefit Experience in successfully leading managing and developing both functional and crossfunctional teams Business or similar degree from a leading academic institution
