Salary Grade 7 (£37,099 – £44,263 p.a. depending on experience)

This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner.  We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

As Senior Endpoint Systems Engineer, you will play a leading role in ensuring that our Windows, Mac and Linux end user devices are stable, secure and configured to meet the requirements of the business. You will be a key contributor in driving forward development and implementation of process and policy standards, service offerings and projects impacting across the University. You will also take a leading role in the development of solutions for complex issues and problems.

As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for overseeing developments that support our business IT strategy, by delivering new and improved solutions to modernise our end user environments, enhance security, and improve user experience. You will utilise your substantial skills and experience in end user device support and management to improve our services and processes, ensuring they align to industry best practice, IT standards and regulatory compliance.

This is a hands-on technical role, with a focus on developing, implementing and maintaining modern device management technologies such as Microsoft Intune and Endpoint Configuration Manager, Jamf Pro and Azure Virtual Desktop. This will include responsibilities for improving endpoint governance and security controls. You will also provide subject matter expertise in areas relating to endpoint devices, and support and training to colleagues.

Job Description

Do you have a proven ability to carry out teaching and research in nutritional science and the influence of food on behaviour, mental health and cognition? 

The School of Food Science and Nutrition is the oldest such university department in the UK, and is continuing to grow its staff numbers, expanding its academic capability in nutritional science, with the aim of providing mechanistic evidence of the role of food components and diets on health and well-being. We are seeking to appoint a lecturer in the area of diet and nutrition influencing behaviour, mental health and cognition to deliver excellent research and inspirational teaching and supervision, and invite applications from outstanding academics of high potential who are able to demonstrate a growing track record in research, student education and academic leadership. 

As a Lecturer, you will carry out research and teaching and contribute to academic leadership in the field of nutrition and behaviour with an emphasis on understanding the interplay between food and mental well-being as well as the impact of food components on cognition. You will develop collaborative research with members of the Nutritional Sciences and Epidemiology research group and other groups in the school, University and nationally and internationally to propose evidence-based solutions for improving health.

With a vision and drive to develop a prestigious internationally competitive research portfolio as well as a passion for undertaking research-led teaching you will make a significant impact to the performance, stature and profile of research and student education at the University of Leeds.  You will have a PhD in a relevant field, and a proven record of both research outputs and teaching in a university environment.
