Job Purpose:

Lead the manufacturing function within budget and output targets to meet customer requirements and standards. Full accountability for ensuring safety, customer quality, cost, and delivery requirements.

Coordinate with each department and in-line the entire production. Implement strategies to reduce costs and improve operational performance in the organization.

Job Responsibilities:

– Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practices, strategies, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.

– Planning, Forecasting, and Budgeting – oversee these processes, and schedule activities to ensure timely completion.

– Effectively and efficiently manage the production of the required daily/weekly/monthly targets in line with customer specifications, meeting quality, and delivery expectations, minimizing costs where possible, and ensuring the required best working practices are maintained at all times.

– Identify business improvement opportunities within the organization and ensure the target productivity level is achieved on a daily basis.

– Communicate and liaise with other departments regarding the throughput of stock to ensure production targets are met.

– Ensure production reports and presentations are shared with the management on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.

– Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems.

– Set department objectives/KPIs and review and assess the ongoing performance of direct reports.

– Manage and lead the team, ensuring adequate staffing levels, managing leave, allowances, recruitment, training, development, appraisal, attendance, disciplinary issues, and daily supervision to maximize efficient productivity.

– Work as part of the Management team to share ideas and improve operations, recommending, supporting, and implementing continuous improvement activities and process and procedure improvements to optimize results and improve quality of delivery, in line with quality standards requirements delivery in line with Company and Customer requirements.

– Stay current and up to date on any changes that may affect the supply and demand of needed products and materials and advise others of any impact.

– Lead and facilitate monthly safety meetings and ensure that appropriate risk assessments are undertaken which cover the activities of the team and that staff is trained on them and complies with their requirements.

– Design and implement an inventory tracking system to optimize inventory control procedures.

– Perform daily analysis to predict potential inventory problems.

– Implements improved security and storage procedures to reduce loss and damage.

Job Requirements:

– 8-10 years of operations management and leadership experience. Packaging industry experience is a definite plus.

– Must have a degree in Business Administration/Operations Management.

– Knowledge of general finance, budgeting, and cash-flow management.

– Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management.

– Should possess excellent planning and leadership skills.

– Ability to identify risk and formulate a strategy to maintain efficiency.

– Arabic conversational skills are preferred.

– Problem-analysis and problem-solving skills.

– Attention to detail.

– Good communication skills.
