Job description: العمليات * Create organizational structures to support business process and functions within Dubai Customs

  • Create job descriptions in business processes to ensure that all functions and activities related to accountabilities and tasks are mapped with job roles
  • Monitor changes in the existing structures to ensure there is no functional overlap within the organization
  • Participate in the Demand Outline discussions leading to the writing of the Business Review Specifications (BRS) to ensure HR related areas are documented within the policies of Dubai Customs HR departments
  • Study and analyze the BRS and identify the business flow, processes and activities to describe the functions leading to the creation of job roles
  • Prepare a high level HR Build Charter to reflect the overall implementation process and plan with timelines that fit into the overall project implementation plan
  • Determine the degree to which other HR interventions covering related to employee assessment, training, recruitment and change management will be involved in delivering the HR Build
  • Coordinate with project managers, process managers to ensure timely deliverables from the HR department
  • Propose an organizational structure to ensure smooth functioning of the functions and the success of the business processes
  • Create job descriptions for the various positions in the organizational structure by conducting various job analysis initiatives
  • Evaluate job descriptions to propose grades and bands within the guidelines provided for onward approval from the Divan’s Office
  • Determine the requirement of manpower to support the business processes within Dubai Customs
  • Prepare a post implementation evaluation report to capture key learning points from the application of strategies to the unique environment of Dubai Customs
  • Provides consultative support to departmental and sectional managers in the continuous improvement initiatives of the department
  • Create Job Families to ensure a career path plan that would contribute to the retention of
  • Contributes to career path initiatives by initiating and evaluating leadership development and training forms and participating in the all HR developmental project meetings
  • Prepare and submit periodic reports on performance levels, programs and developmental activities and provide recommendations
  • Ensure timelines and provide consultative support related to various career path initiatives by arranging meeting with team members leading to review performance
  • Facilitate the implementation of career path initiatives by designing and conducting related workshops and training programs
  • Contribute to the preparedness of the HR department by participating in the submissions for the DGEP awards
  • Performa all the assigned tasks from the line manager with reliability, honesty, and discretion


Maintain confidentiality, integrity and availability of information in line with Dubai Customs information security policies and procedures in order to protect information from any disclosure or misuse



Degree in the relevant businees area with additional Post Graduate certifications or Graduate with Post Grauduate Dipoma and relevant certifications


8 – 10 years of relevant experience with exposure to leading projects, producing analytical reports with recommendations, improving business processes, work simplification solutions, preparing and presenting proposals, leading functional teams in projects
