This job description is for the Business Development Manager within the Cloud Application Platform (AP) service line.

Grow the Application Platform (AP) service line.

Work Location

Remote or at an HSO office, though in-person meetings at HSO office(s) and travel to client locations will be necessary from time to time.

People Management

No line management duties are required, though may manage personnel in the context of specific projects or work assignments (e.g. assignment of consultants to support technical pre-sales activities).

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities

As a Business Development Manager, you will:

  • Craft go-to-market messaging around the Application Platform and its technical capabilities, in collaboration with service line leadership and technical Solution Specialists
  • Create and maintain sales offers that articulate value to clients, explain technical and business approaches, providing material to HSO sellers, account managers and consultants to use during presales engagements
  • Manage the Application Platform sales pipeline (e.g., leads and opportunities in Dynamics 365 for Sales) through collaboration with service line leadership, HSO sellers, HSO industry leaders, and Microsoft sellers, including but not limited to:
  • Working with HSO marketing and sales team(s) to effectively manage and qualify leads.
  • Nurture opportunities through the sales pipeline
  • Close and obtain signed statements of work
  • Manage pipeline admin and sales metrics for stakeholder reporting
  • Working with technical consultants to provide pre-sales support to HSO sellers and industry leads
  • Supporting sales discussions with clients via remote meetings or face-to-face engagements, where required
  • Preparing and presenting sessions that tie client needs to AP services
  • Receive and manage all inbound requests for technical pre-sales support (e.g., from HSO sellers or industry leaders), assigning consultants to provide technical pre-sales support on specific opportunities, and maintaining the overall technical pre-sales capacity and backlog
  • A strong sense of ownership, autonomy, and personal responsibility for your work
  • The drive and self-sufficiency to work independently, translate high-level goals into action, own the success of your program of work, support and seek support from colleagues when needed
  • A passion for Microsoft cloud technologies including Power Platform, Azure, and Microsoft 365
  • 3+ years of business, technical, sales, and / or marketing experiencing in cloud technologies
  • Strong client-facing skills, empathy, and ability to guide clients through challenging problems
