About the team

Central partnerships team operates across all Careem verticals and countries where Careem exists. This is an international team that bridges cultures and builds lasting professional relationships with key stakeholders in Careem and within different partner’s organizations. This team develops and implements partnerships programs targeting prospective partners and manages relationships with existing partners.

About the Role

We are looking for a partnerships professional to join our central team as Regional Partnerships Operations Manager based in the UAE and operating on a cross functional level with key stakeholders across the region. This role requires deep understanding of the different markets requirements, creative problem solving skills and a balanced thinking with tactical, detailed execution.

What you’ll do

This role is split into two main responsibilities, Partnerships duties and Operational duties:

Partnerships Duties:

  • Pipeline Development: Actively source, close and manage relationships with large regional companies within overlapping target segments such as Telecom operators, Banks, FMCG, Entertainment and Hospitality providers
  • Account Management: Develop solid and long-lasting relationships as the main point of contact, and be responsible for partners’ engagement and satisfaction
  • Planning and Reporting: Actively plan regional partnerships through different industries that meet company and verticals goals. Regular reporting of achievements against set targets for each partnership/vertical

Operational Duties:

  • Lead the implementation of designated partnerships across different cross functional units internal and with external stakeholders
  • Build and maintain ongoing communications with the regional resources such as marketing, sales teams, legal and finance teams to ensure a transparent and co-ordinated approach
  • Maintain regular and periodic meetings with different regional resources to follow up on partnerships progress and discuss potential opportunities
  • Provide periodic status reports to the central partnerships team covering progress of each partnership against planned milestones and key deliverables

What you’ll need

  • Top-tier educational background and 5+ years of experience as Business Development or Partnerships Manager in a high performing organization
  • Detail-oriented and organized with a strong experience of project management
  • Willingness and ability to work cross-functionally and organize and influence stakeholders within Careem, and with partners
  • Start-up mindset:
  • Laser focused on growth, speed and results on a daily basis
  • Willing to be hands on. This role involves both planning and implementation
  • Action-oriented
  • Willing to take risks and make quick, informed decisions
  • Self-starter with a high level of ownership and limited need for oversight and support
