Job Description: • Handle patient information, such as introductions, files, prescription charts, investigation reports, and intake/output charts, during shift changes.

• Responsible for providing direct patient care during the shift while being calm, pleasant, and tactful.
• Responsible for ensuring quality of treatment by adhering to therapeutic standards, monitoring health outcomes against patient care objectives and standards, and making or suggesting required changes.
• Responsible for resolving patient problems and needs through multidisciplinary team solutions.
• Responsible for preparing medicine requisitions and administering medication.
• Responsible for ensuring a safe and clean working environment by following procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Responsible for protecting patients and personnel by following infection-control policies and protocols, drug delivery and storage procedures, Controlled drug restrictions.
• Assist doctors / consultants on their rounds in the unit / ward and record instructions.
• Responsibilities include assisting doctors with any necessary procedures. Prepares the patient physically and mentally for these treatments while also ensuring that the relevant equipment is available.
• Responsibilities include maintaining accurate and comprehensive documentation of nursing care and using proper charting procedures in accordance with Standards Operating Procedures.
• Responsible for following the doctor’s orders and questioning any concerns about the prescribed treatment.
• Responsible for ensuring that the unit/ward’s medical supply requirements are adequately supplied, appropriately stored, and readily available.
Responsible to check and record blood sugar.
• Responsible to collect blood and do other lab tests on patients.
• Responsible for checking and recording vital signs.

Specifically, pre-operative and post-operative patients.
• Responsible for performing IV cannulations on patients in accordance with the Clinical IPPs policy guidelines.
• Responsible for promptly notifying and reporting events involving patients, personnel, visitors, and any other undesirable occurrences.
• Responsible for supervising Nurse Aids, Student Nurses, and so forth.
• Responsible for completing allocated patient and non-patient-related responsibilities as ordered by the Ward incharge or Nursing Coordinator.
• Responsible for performing any additional responsibilities assigned by the Supervisor/Head of the Department.
