Your Role

The Sales Controller for MENCA Distributor Markets acts as business partner to the Sales Directors. She/he supports the business by analyzing and forecasting complex financial data to provide accurate and timely information and recommendations for medium and long term strategic and operational decisions. The Sales Controller plays a crucial role in the Commercial Triangle and collaborates closely with Sales, Marketing and Product Lines to ensure information flow and delivery of targets.

A Typical Day

  • Manage closing activities, accruals & reconciliations
  • Manage contractual incentives & promotional spend
  • Develop and maintain data infrastructure that supports the needs and operational responsibilities of the business
  • Pricing and cost analysis – impact on volumes and margins
  • Profitability analysis on customer, product and/or project level
  • Provide annual projections, periodic forecasts, and business analyses (profitability per product/market) as required
  • “Closing the Gap” activities regarding the business financial targets – analysis of the causes and making proposals
  • Development and implementation of accounting policies, programs & systems to control SA financial assets and provide complete and accurate financial information and records.
  • Close collaboration with sales on effective promotion, marketing and sell-in/sell-out activities

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Accounting or Finance
  • 5-7 years of relevant working experience
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills
  • Solid understanding of accounting and financial concepts
