Our ambition is to become a major player in renewable hydrogen, being at the forefront of global transformations in the industry, mobility and tertiary sectors. We want to scale up the Hydrogen economy.
ENGIE is uniquely placed to deliver on these objectives. Our worldwide presence, strong industrial capabilities and local anchorage as well as a deep know-how in both gas and power management, including midstream infrastructure operations such as storage, allow us to develop integrated solutions for our customers all across the value chain : from renewable hydrogen production (water electrolysis with renewable power), to storage, transportation, distribution and services to end users.
Our ambition is to become a renewable hydrogen major present worldwide providing its customers with integrated zero-carbon solutions based on renewable H2.
We develop solutions for industrials (using hydrogen in their processes) and territories looking for carbon-free solutions (H2 as a fuel for mobility, flexibility solutions for the local energy system…).
H2 Technology and Design Team is integrated in Flexible Generation and Retail Global Business Unit (FGBU) of ENGIE.
This centralized team is providing expertise and technical support to large scale renewable hydrogen projects developed worldwide i.e. 3 regions: Europe, Americas and AMEA (Asia-Middle East-Africa)
– a young and lean team, activating very large external & internal networks of people and competencies on many geographies around the world,
– multi-localized with people based closed to the fields of actions ; we have already developed a portfolio of projects in various countries such as Chile, South Africa, Australia, Netherlands, France
H2 Technology & design Team offers you a unique playground to express your talents, bring your curiosity, creativity and courage. and grow yourself by experiencing new and very diverse areas. Our DNA is definitely an agile culture:

1. Renewable H2 Architect
- Purpose : Drive the Architecture of complex green hydrogen-based systems, worldwide
- Accountabilities :
o Initiate and animate the econometric exercise using mathematical modelling tools to architect complex large-scale hydrogen and power-to-X systems
o Specifically support Business Development during the inception phase of a project for defining and refining the whole system architecture as well as the main technical/economics metrics (Sizing, Levelized Cost of Hydrogen/ LCOX…). Convincingly present these to the project external partners.
o Interact with the specialists of the engineering (Tractebel, T&D specialists or others), R&D and our teams during the inception and feasibility phases of a project to further develop and consolidate the overall system architecture (including market dimension). Supervise the activities of the Engineering working directly with Business Development (BD) to orient the architecture towards effectively addressing client´s needs.
o Architect solutions to solve challenges faced by project team during project initiation (concept screening during Pre-Feasibility Study, system sizing, …) at systemic level (Energy sourcing, EMS, power sizing, operating modes, storage, dispatching, integration with end users…).
