Business Development Manager / Technical Sales Specialist – Healthcare Water Systems

This is a really interesting role where you can use previous experience within sales to develop and continue your career with an industry leader.

Your background will ideally be from within medical equipment sales or service and you’ll probably have previously worked with hospitals, clinics, laboratories or similar environments.

Do you understand Laboratory, Healthcare or Hospital equipment?

Can you develop new accounts whilst ensuring our existing customers continue to receive the best of care?

Overview of the role:

On a day-to-day basis, you will be looking after your designated area and working to SLAs with our current customers.

You’ll prospect for new clients, presenting to them as necessary to win new business.

Your client base will be split around Healthcare, Hospitals, Laboratories etc and our equipment will be used to ensure they have the correct water purification they need.

You’ll work between home, office and travel to customer sites as needed. The office is based in Thame in Oxfordshire.

Some of the duties:

  • Manage the sales area, look after existing customers and increase customer base.
  • Prospect for, and sell, large systems opportunities, service contracts, and consumables to contractors, FM companies and directly to end users.
  • Prepare RFQs or tenders and submit to the Design and Proposal team.
  • Set up and perform product demonstrations and trials as necessary.
  • Attend exhibitions as required.
  • Provide feedback on market requirements, product modifications and competitors.
  • Manage customer issues to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Sell service contracts on new plant and negotiate renewals of existing contracts, liaising with the service department on pricing.
  • Use Hubspot CRM to record all accounts, contacts and opportunities.
  • Provide monthly sales reports, quote pipeline lists, and progress on system leads.
  • Propose new products and modifications, and assist with product evaluations / site trials

Ideal attributes:

  • Sales background.
  • Experience of water purification sales for healthcare including renal – either from similar equipment or perhaps other medical devices and equipment.
  • Scientific or engineering background, either from education or time-served.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of contract terms & conditions.
  • Good communicator at all levels and able to work directly with customers.
  • Ability to assimilate technical data.
  • Self Disciplined and Self motivated to work remotely.
  • Full driving licence.
