Job description: Our client a leading temperature controlled logistics provider, are currently seeking a Business Development Manager.
As the Business Development Manager, your role will be to build and develop relationships with new and existing clients via visits and phone calls and create strategies to help the company reach new business opportunities.
This role will be based in the field and is national.
You will be managing clients’ appointments, pitching sales and freight products and negotiating / closing opportunities.
Other responsibilities of the Business Development Manager:
- Communicate new leads.
- Create and work towards sales forecasts.
- Work alongside the internal team to help ensure all clients’ needs are met.
On a day-to-day basis, you will be liaising with customers, suppliers, overseas partners and internal teams, so it goes without saying, having excellent communication skills is a good attribute for this role.
To be the successful Business Development Manager, you will need to have strong Road Freight Sales / Business Development experience, good commercial sense and have a background working in the Freight or Logistics industry.
