Role Summary
An IT eCommerce Business Analyst will be instrumental in strategic problem solving, working closely with business counterparts to identify and implement IT eCommerce solutions in business functional areas. The Business Analyst will help businesses implement technology solutions in a cost-effective way and will be responsible for new implementation and feature enhancements for eCommerce applications/websites across Alshaya landscape.
An ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Information technology with a minimum of 3 years of experience with eCommerce applications/websites. You must have expert level in MS Office applications and have excellent written and oral communication skills. You will need to be proficient in data analysis.
Roles & Responsibilities
Reporting into the Manager – Enterprise Solutions, the Business Analysts are expected to perform the below functions (as an individual contributor):
Gather business requirements as new implementation or change requests for eCommerce web/app solutions.
Clearly define the objective / scope of an implementation/feature and communicate to stakeholders
Take up the ownership of a delivery cycle from requirement /data gathering, analysing the need or gap, refining the requirement, communicating to different teams till the delivery
Work with the PMO (Programme office), Solution Architects, Tech Leads, Software Engineers and Quality Assurance Engineers for owning and delivering features/ functionalities on the eCommerce platform (web/app)
Guide different teams on development, SIT (Systems Integration Testing), UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and Stress testing
Coordinate proper documentation to manage / track information related to feature developments
Conduct post-project evaluation
Conduct user trainings

Knowledge & Experience:
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field
Sound knowledge of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology: 3-5 Years
Sound knowledge on delivery methodologies like Agile, Kanban etc.: 3-5 Years
Expert level in Microsoft Office Applications
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Proficient in data analysis
Understands business functional areas
Exposure to Retail industry (preferred)
