Remuneration: £50,000-£55,000 Neg. + 20% uncapped bonus

The role of the Business Development Manager – Bandsaws and Metal Cutting Tools will involve:

  • Field sales position selling bi-metal Bandsaws (large metal coil, cut to length as required)
  • 50% of your time National Account Manager position
  • Responsible for two major weld centre distributors and several smaller weld centres/ independent wholesalers
  • Inheriting approx. £750,000 turnover worth of customer accounts
  • 50% new business development within new distributors or end user business across UK & Ireland
  • Overall responsibility for our client’s tactical direction and bi-metal bandsaw strategy nationally
  • Two-Three quality customer appointments per week
  • Typical order values £3,000-£5,000
  • Monthly reporting
  • Being responsible for all related commercial framework discussions and negotiations

The ideal applicant will be a Business Development Manager – Bandsaws and Metal Cutting Tools with:

  • Must come from the metal cutting industry
  • Ideally sold metal bandsaw blades, cutting tools, hand tools or power tools
  • May be open to an engineering or technical background looking to get into field sales
  • Preferably with some national accounts and business development experience
  • Commercial acumen
  • Prior experience of having sold into wholesale and or distribution may be advantageous
  • Awareness of our clients product range
  • Ability to hit ground running, our client is looking for someone to work independently (full product training will be provided)
  • Excellent presentation and demonstrating skills
  • A practical and professional hands on competent approach
  • Excellent organisational / territory planning skills
