CBRE is looking for a Manager level forward thinking and dynamic person to join our highly experienced and successful Business Development team to drive significant growth of CBRE’s unique and fast-growing Fund and Property Accounting business.

This is an opportunity to pursue a successful Business Development career within the industry’s only fully dedicated Real Estate Fund and Property administration business serving the needs of the largest and most sophisticated investment managers and their Real Estate Funds.

Key Responsibilities:

The role will work with the Business Development leadership team both regionally and globally to develop the sales strategy, segment the market, build relationships with key current clients, and target new strategic clients and prospects of the firm. He/She will be exposed to all facets of the Fund and Property Accounting business, and work in close partnership with the team’s senior Business Development Directors.

The right candidate will have a unique opportunity to work with and learn from some of the best senior salespeople and operations leads in the Real Estate industry, as well many of the industry’s largest investment managers.

The overall team is responsible for business development for all Fund Administration services across Global Managers, including building the regional sales strategy. The role will involve:

  • Working in partnership with proven leaders to negotiate and close complex multi-million-dollar deals.
  • Determine prospective clients that fit target Segmentation profile (large, global investment managers, well known brands, etc.).
  • Liaise with and grow CBRE network to build relationships with C-Suite accounting, finance and asset management professionals.
  • Assist in building CBRE market awareness via attendance at industry conferences and meetings, including proactive establishment of marketing and meeting at such events.
  • Leveraging technical/ business skills in building and managing a pipeline through lead generation through internal, external and direct channels.
  • Work with product and technology teams to respond timely to RFPs with high quality proposal materials by working in close partnership with other Fund and Property Accounting colleagues and CBRE marketing
  • Complete pricing and proposals for new business in partnership with our industry leading sales, client service and finance teams
  • Ensure Salesforce is maintained accurately and represent Fund and Property Accounting global business development calls.
  • Act as liaison between other business lines and their business development activities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with both the external and internal “influencer” communities.
  • Responsible for proactively communicating all updates and action points up, down and across the organization.

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of 7-9 years of overall experience in a financial services or Real Estate organization
  • Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations.
  • Strong analytical thinker
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in investment management industry; direct Real Estate or Private Equity experience preferred
  • Ability to learn quickly and take on responsibility
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment
  • Needs to work well with a team
  • Strong attention to detail
