The successful candidate in this role will be accountable for growing HSJ Jobs sales and retaining existing business and identifying opportunities for growth.

On a day-to-day basis as our Business Development Manager, you will be

  • Meeting and exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
  • Engaging with senior decision makers to deliver sales growth within HSJ Jobs.
  • Spilt you time in roles 40% account management – managing and growing HSJ Jobs clients with 12 month contracts and 60% new business – largely driven by inbound enquiries to post a vacancy on the job board.
  • Provide reporting on job board and advertising performance to stakeholders.
  • Ensuring opportunity pipeline is developed and maintained in line with business targets.
  • Tracking/measuring/reporting on all sales KPIs.
  • Contributing to product development ideas based on customer feedback.
  • Design and deliver your sales plan
  • Engage in internal meetings, with a clear understanding of the factors impacting negative and positive sales performance.
  • Collaborate with peers in a constructive and positive way.

In order to be successful in this role you will need:

  • Experience in B2B sales
  • Highly eloquent and credible when making pitches at a senior level
  • Sales CRM (SalesForce, MS Dynamics or similar)
  • Ideally previous experience working in a job board or recruitment type role
  • Previous experience selling in healthcare or the NHS is highly desirable
