Job description: UBT are proud to be partnering with an exciting growing family SME business who specialise in oils/lubricants for the food manufacturing industry. They are enjoying a period of growth including breaking in to European markets and as such are looking to recruit a Business Development Manager on a permanent basis. This excellent opportunity would cover the whole of the UK including Ireland with some potential business development overseas. Working remotely and reporting in a few times per month, the successful applicant will manage their own diary and opportunities offering a consultative solution to a range of clients including some key names in the UK. In return the business are offering an excellent package including up to 40% OTE bonus earnings, car allowance and more.

Key duties and responsibilities..

  • Achieve new sales revenue targets and ensure a high level of client satisfaction
  • Book and attend new client visits and book new trials
  • Complete visit reports and actions post-site visit, ensuring systems are up to date with client information and actions
  • Working with the Marketing Manager and Sales & Marketing Manager, identify new leads and opportunities
  • Contribute to the sale & marketing team departmental targets, plans and meetings
  • Attend exhibition and events to prospect new potential clients
  • Provide a truly consultative solutions to best fit the client needs

Requirements

  • Excellent lead generation and sales skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Persuasion & negotiation skills
  • Able to close sales deals effectively
  • Able to plan and prioritise work to meet targets
  • Problem solving skills
  • Experience working in a sales role, booking, and attending client appointments either in person or online
  • Experience working in a sales target environment
  • Experience working in an SME, ideally a family business, would be desirable
  • Experience working in food manufacturing would be desirable
  • Experience working in an engineering environment would be desirable
