£35,000 – £45,000 per annum (plus uncapped commission and Car Allowance £5,500)

Remote / Homebased with occasional travel to our Cambridgeshire office and clients

Cooper Lomaz are currently working with a growing technology driven group of business who are seeking a confident individual to grow the team of Business Development Managers.

The Remote Business Development Manager role sits within a team of experienced and committed Business Development Management who are well known within the market they trade in, so this role comes with a lot of potential for growth within a stable environment. This is a permanent role with a structured (and uncapped!) commission scheme and car allowance. While mainly homebased, you may need to visit clients or the head office in Cambridgeshire on occasions; they offer an additional £5,500 per year Car allowance to help with these visits.

This is a real end to end role where you’ll source new business, nurture communications, quote, demo and close, before handover to the mobilisation team for next steps. You’ll need to generate your own leads, so you’ll have plenty of opportunity to research with organisations and individuals who’d really benefit from our clients services. You’ll contact clients to clarify their needs, arrange meetings and develop quotes and proposals. You’ll find and develop new markets, improving sales through well documented and considered planning. You’ll even work alongside our awesome Marketing department to ensure initiatives are aligned with sales requirements.

Our clients main software product is a big seller, so having a passion for Technology is a huge bonus in this role – especially if you can translate more technical terms into business benefits! There is a lot of communication required in this role, so whether you’re talking with a new customer, delivering a demo or catching up with our account managers, top tier communication is key to your success. Clients are at the heart of everything our client does, so a dedicated focus on the Client is essential, along with a clear ability to work with technical / software products.

Experience / Knowledge:

  • Commercial Business Development experience
  • Experience with a Software / SAAS / Technical environment
  • Ability to Present and Demo to clients effectively remotely and onsite
  • Experience generating your own leads as well as effectively working with warm lead’s
  • Prior experience producing quotes and proposals – followed but closing these
  • Proven ability to work remotely
  • Full drivers licence is required to attend client sites of the Head office as required
