About the Role
We are seeking a highly capable and motivated EV Technician Training Lead for our Automotive division to lead technical training and support required within the Al-Futtaim EV Network. You will be responsible for setting Al-Futtaim’ international standards/ align it with the IMI international standard levels 2.2 – 4. You will also be working closely with Brand Technical Support Manager to assess training needs, identify the gaps, prepare development plans for technicians, and accordingly implement a training plan. And, you be the focal point of contact / support for providing diagnostic support for EV, PHEV vehicles on technical issues, also by ensuring the availability of necessary special tools, technical literature, and service bulletins at locations.
Refine the EV Curriculum to stay leaders in the region, aligning to the latest models, technology, legislation and certification guidelines
Work with the EV brand principals to ensure the brand standards are achieved and the latest information and working practices are being followed
Lead EV recruitment drives, sponsorship programmes, on-boarding and on the job development activities
Arrange on the job coaching & support for associates post course to ensure successful implementation of knowledge and skills transfer to enhance business performance
Work with Aftersales Managers and Branch Managers to continually improve the customer experience supporting any campaigns, promotions and first time fix
Promote and monitor all EV HSSE related issues, to ensure safe handling of any high voltage equipment and providing improvement recommendations and follow up activities throughout the network
Actively promote the automotive group, associate, and customer engagement activities, whilst promoting Al-Futtaim Automotive as a great place to work.
Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge
High level of proficiency in both written and Spoken English, (additional languages advantageous)
Full UAE driving License
Diploma or equivalent in mechanical or electrical engineering or extensive and specialized training in Electrical Vehicles.
Adult learning or training and assessment certificate or equivalent – Advantage
IMI EV Level 3 or 4 – Advantage / Priority
Min 5 years Technical Training or Coaching role
5 years of Automotive Industry Experience
Min 1-2 years of Electric or Hybrid hands on Experience
Proficient to Master Technician Level or industry equivalent
Customer Facing Role Experience – preferred
Assessment qualification – preferred
Experience of designing and delivering a variety of training solutions, Face to Face, Digital, Virtual etc.
Experience of partnering with third parties
People Management experience
A strong communicator, both in writing and spoken communications
Articulate and confident standing up and delivering to large audiences
Organised, self-starter and an inspirational leader
