Due to our continued growth in the region Jacobs are hiring a Project Control Manager to be based in the Dubai Office. You will lead a team of project controls staff to deliver project controls functions for portfolio of projects for the assigned sector.

We need our engineers to be versatile, enthusiastic to work in highly flexible, team-oriented environments and who have exceptional communication, analytical and leadership skills. The incumbent will need to have the following range of skills; People Management, Planning/Scheduling, Progress Assessment and Earned Value Analysis, WBS and CBS development, Estimating, Cost Management, Cost Forecasting, Risk Management and Report Development. Your additional responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for well-being of Assistant Project Controls (APCs) with respect to safety, work life balance and career growth.
  • Monitor PC workload in light of backlog and pipeline and provide recommendations for hiring.
  • Good analytical skills with ability to analyze schedule and financial risk on projects and programs
  • Oversee implementation of project controls systems and procedures across the portfolio
  • Oversee the process of new projects’ setup through Jacobs system and ensures proper takeover from sales team
  • Assign resources to support bid pricing and bid schedule (if required)
  • Assign appropriate PC resources to the new projects / assignments
  • Review WBS and CBS of new projects to make sure these are consistent with the Billings Schedule and EV reporting requirements
  • Review and approves project and variation set-up documents through Jacobs’ internal financial system
  • Review projects’ schedules to make sure if this is aligned to Contract requirements
  • Review all EACs (including updates to the revenue budget) and make sure these are accurate and represent reality.
  • Review Earned Value progress reports for accuracy
  • Monitor billings, accounts receivable and unbilled on the portfolio and escalate problem areas
  • Attend management reviews, project and portfolio risk reviews and prepares related reports to be presented as required
  • Maintain portfolio level Risk Register and have it updated regularly
  • Monitor portfolio compliance activities (monthly project reviews and EACs) and highlights any delays with reasons
  • Ensure that all projects within the portfolio are being close-out appropriately as per Project Close-out Check list
  • Prepare internal and client weekly and monthly project status reports
  • Review of EPC contractor schedules and programs as and when required

Here’s What You’ll Need:

As a suitable candidate you will be degree qualified, having 10-15 years of experience with exposure to both schedule and cost management best practice and associated software. You will be coming with recent experience of Project Controls within a major project/program.
