Business Development Manager (BDM) – Temporary Works Industry

Join the leading and pioneering force in the temporary works industry! Elevation Recruitment are working with a major supplier of temporary works solutions, to the UK Construction and Civils sectors.

As a BDM, you will play a crucial role in expanding their market presence and driving business growth across the HS2 projects from Birmingham to North London.

Business Development Manager Responsibilities:

  • Identify and target potential clients in the construction, engineering, and related industries who require temporary works solutions
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their evolving needs and providing tailored solutions
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitor activities, and potential growth areas
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth
  • Collaborate closely with the design, supply, and installation teams to ensure seamless project delivery and customer satisfaction
  • Actively participate in industry events, conferences, and exhibitions to enhance brand visibility and expand the network of contacts
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts, market intelligence, and regular reports to the senior management team

Business Development Manager Skills & Experience:

  • Proven track record in business development, preferably within the construction or temporary works industry
  • Rail or HS2 sector experience – desirable
  • Strong understanding of temporary works, including design, supply, and installation processes – desirable
  • Excellent networking and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence key decision-makers
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and convert sales opportunities, meeting or exceeding targets
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Self-motivated and target-driven, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically
  • Willingness to travel as required
