About the position:
To plan and manage all activities related to professional customer support, handling of customers enquiries and orders and capturing of sales opportunities.
To ensure appropriate competence is available to assist customers and the network and to generate sales.
This position reports to the Area CS & Inside Sales Manager Mediterranean & AMB and works closely with Orders Processing Team Leads and sales team.
What you will do:
Manage the day-to-day activities and sales performance of the Customer Support team and where appropriate take active part in the daily customer handling
Responsible for performance assessment, coaching, training, and development of the Customer Support team
Recruit and manage staff according to company values, rules and regulations.
Administrate the provision of professional support and advise to customers on the complete WSS customer offer
Administrate business growth through proactive enquiries and quotations follow up and through pursuing sales and order-building opportunities.
Establish close cooperation and collaboration of Customer Support team with Shared Services/Processing Centre, Sales, and Operation.
Implement company’s established strategies, policies and procedures.
Support and assist Sales with contract renewal and conceptualising and pricing of agreements as well as general commercial enquiries.
Report and take corrective action to support that sales budgets are achieved and contractual obligations are fulfilled.
Provide regular feedback on technical, service quality and commercial issues raised by customers to the concerned management team.
Required skills:-
Good knowledge and experience from the marine industry
Bachelor or similar degree in business related studies or at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
Good team leadership skills with an ability to encourage high levels of performance.
Good negotiating and conflict resolution skills.
Able to meet deadlines through good time management and allocation of priorities.
Strong interpersonal understanding with an awareness of different cultures within the customer base, team and organisation.
Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate on all levels.
Results oriented and ability to set targets and to monitor and drive performance of the team.
Fluent in English – both in writing and speaking.
