Role Purpose:

The role of the Learning & Development Executive will focus on delivering training sessions and the long-term development of employees’ skills that are essential to maximize their development within the organization. The role will focus on identifying training and development needs within the business through the appraisal process and regular consultation with key stakeholders.

Role Details – Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

New Hire Induction & Orientation:

Conduct new hire orientation sessions, and plan, organize and direct new employee training.

Acclimate new hires to the business and conduct orientation sessions

Content Development:

Customize content and design training modules focused on defined competencies and the audience requirements

Monitor and review the progress of trainees through questionnaires and discussions with Line managers, amend and revise programs content as necessary, in order to adapt to the changes that occur in the work environment.

Update course content as directed by Training Manager.

Develop or oversee the production of classroom handouts, instructional materials, aids and manuals.

Design and assess the training program soft skills and culture trainings.

Training delivery & facilitation:

Manage and deliver training sessions on technical, functional and behavioral subjects.

Develop skills in using multimedia visual aids, role-playing and activities.

Ensure assessments are completed and feedback supplied to involved stakeholders.

Identify training and development needs through job analysis, appraisal schemes and regular consultation with leadership, managers and relevant stakeholders.

Supervise and monitor progress made via training programs or schemes.

Liaise with Line Managers and interviewing employees at all levels to identify and assess training and development needs.

Resolve any specific problems and tailor training programs as necessary.

Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practices.

Questionnaire & Feedback:

Monitor and review the progress of trainees through questionnaires and discussions with managers.

Evaluate and measure training performance and effectiveness to improve overall standards by giving feedback forms at the end of every training session.

Definition of Success

Assist the successful rollout of all Holding and Entertainment programs in all locations

Assist in developing new training programs based on the gap analysis of the company

Assist the team to train LEC staff on HALA program

Assist the team and the business with openings happening in the region including KSA.

Personal Characteristics and Required Background:

Personal characteristics:

Strong knowledge of the training process

Excellent communicator with great interpersonal skills.

Ability to multi-task and able to deal with a diverse and complex environment.

Familiarity with talent management and succession planning.

Must possess strong writing and editing skills.

Advanced relationship management skills – demonstrated through experience in influencing staff and leaders at all levels.

Ability to travel within the GCC.

Minimum experience:

2- 3 years of experience in L&D, preferably in Leisure, Entertainment or Hospitality.

Ability to learn, teach, and effectively use writing/authoring tools such as Word, PowerPoint, Prezi and Articulate and Adobe or comparable development tools is required.

Excellent command of English and Arabic language preferred.

ID Design.

Minimum Qualifications/education:

Bachelor’s Degree in related area and/or equivalent experience.

ID Design Certification -preferred.

Train the Trainer off the job/on the job-preferred.
